A Message From The Principal

Dear Lawrence School Families,

To all our Lawrence School families - I hope everyone is doing well during this unprecedented and uncertain time.  I truly appreciate all your efforts in supporting your children at your home schools. As a parent of school children in this district, I am tuned in to the challenges you are facing with balancing your personal and professional lives.

I understand this is not easy. This is challenging for your children’s teachers as well, we truly are in this together. We are here for you - please keep in touch!

Sincerely,

Tom Bushy, Principal

A Message from Assistant Principal Vieira,

My usual message at this time of the school year includes reminders about upcoming MCAS testing. Last week Governor Baker announced that MCAS testing is cancelled for this school year, which I hope provides some relief for our students and families.

As we continue our journey with remote learning, I want to remind students and families of best practices while using online platforms:

  • Be mindful of your communications - when sending a text message to a friend or adding a comment to your google classroom, think before you post
  • Be on the lookout for cyberbullying - be an ally and report negative interactions to a trusted adult and contact Mrs. Vieira
  • Strike a media balance - between social media use and remote learning as we are in front of our screens more than ever, remember to take a break from the screens to support your wellbeing

Finally, I truly hope that you and your family are well, this is a difficult time for all of us, but we are all in this together and please reach out if I can support you or your student in any way.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Vieira, Assistant Principal
