  • Purpose of School Councils 
    • According to the State Ethics Commission’s Opinion EC-COI-93-21 (October 19, 1993), school councils are considered municipal agencies and their members, although they serve without compensation, are considered municipal employees for the purposes of the conflict of interest law.

  • Review the School Success Plan
    • Goal #1 -Equity through Cultural Proficiency:
      • In year 2, the district leadership team will continue with professional learning and coaching with a focus on:
        • Building and maintaining relationships
        • Make systematic changes to improve our hiring practices
        • Build students knowledge, skills & attitudes
        • Assess progress through student & staff feedback 
    • Goal #2 Partnership with Woods Hole Professional Community
      • In year 2, the district leadership team will continue to build relationships with our partners
        • Cultivate skills to empower teachers to plan and facilitate partnerships-sponsored learning
        • Grow partnerships including Outdoor Classroom Committee and Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe
    •  Goal #3 Models for Safety, Student Engagement and Learning
      • In year 2 we will focus on safety, engagement and student learning
        • Enforcing health & safety measures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19
        • Designing and delivering  effective blended learning
        • Fostering a positive, interactive, and safe learning environment that is culturally responsive


  • Restorative Practices
    • Shift in our philosophy of discipline
      • Focus on teaching behavioral skills and building relationships rather than reacting to them
      • Planned professional development for all staff
      • Ties into our vision of a graduate and cultural proficiency

  • Outdoor Learning, Teaticket Nature Trail Pilot Project sponsored by the Rotary Club
    • They will install a Kiosk, map, and 10 QR stations with a pathway from TT over to the Teaticket Park
    • 30-second scripts which will go with the 10 stations planned along the Teaticket Nature Trail 
    • A reference to the curriculum will be placed below the script
