Vacation Message from Superintendent Duerr

Posted April 6, 2020

Good afternoon, Clipper Families!

I hope our students were able to get outside in this beautiful sunshine for an extended recess today!

We just received guidance from DESE that working through April vacation will be a local decision. The School Committee and I believe that our families deserve the time to power down, rest, rejuvenate, and do something fun together. We very much appreciate all that you're doing to make the very best of this new remote schooling.

April 20th is a holiday. April 21-24 will remain as April recess.

During the April recess, we will have special Continuity of Learning Plans available in the event you would like to continue the routines you’ve been working hard to create. These plans, however, will not require day-to-day interaction with teachers. Rather, these plans will offer suggestions and opportunities for creativity, movement, and puzzle solving. Accordingly, learning completed during April recess will not count toward last quarter/semester grades. Access to Tech Support will continue to be available during our recess.

Similarly, recognizing that we want to support families’ routines as well as their daily needs, breakfast and lunch service will continue to be available for pick-up and delivery during the week of April 20th.

Thank you for your continued support during this transition.
