Falmouth Public Schools Belonging Series

Dear Staff and Families,

I hope everyone is enjoying a great start to the new year! 

Falmouth Public Schools is excited to continue our Belonging Series as we learn how to work and live together as a beloved community. Dr. Kalise Wornum who is a consultant, specializing in cultural proficiency, community engagement, and facilitating difficult conversations regarding race, cultures, equity, and inclusion will continue as the facilitator for this second session. 

We are also excited to have Landon Callahan join us from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Landon oversees training initiatives and delivers high-quality training programs to ensure Massachusetts schools and districts remain at the forefront of inclusive best practices. With both experts, we hope to have rich and meaningful conversations. 

Please join us on Tuesday, January 16th at the Falmouth Recreation Center from 6:30-8:30 pm for our second session of the Belonging Series.

On Monday, January 15, please also join us in honoring the legacy of Dr. King, who dedicated his life to equity and belonging for all Americans. This year's Martin Luther King Breakfast theme, "Fostering equity and belonging in the Community," aligns seamlessly with our commitment to student success in Falmouth Public Schools. The MLK Breakfast, sponsored by No Place for Hate, will be held from 9:00-11:00 am at the Sea Crest Hotel. This is an opportunity for us to reflect on our progress in creating a beloved community in Falmouth. Manuel Fernandes, President of AMSEL and Cambridge Public Schools' Interim Chief Equity Officer, will be the keynote speaker. You may purchase your tickets at www.npfhfalmouth.org.
