MCAS District Letter

October 10, 2019

Dear Parent/Guardian:

The Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) is among the most rigorous tests that your child has taken and sets high standards against which to measure student progress and growth. It is very important, however, that you take these results as only one measurement of student learning.

Enclosed with this letter is your child's individual student assessment report from spring 2019. Individual reports are made available to families of students who were in our district last year and who participated in at least one of the assessments.

If you wish to talk about these results, please contact your child's school office, and you will be connected with the appropriate staff member. Staff will provide opportunities for MCAS conferencing during the next several weeks.

Falmouth Public Schools puts learning at the highest priority level. Please continue to encourage your child to work hard as a way to realize their academic potential. The schools will partner with you to attain success.

Sincerely,

Dr. Lori Duerr
Superintendent of Schools
