Meeting Minutes 

Monday, June 7, 2021

∙ Approve May Meeting Minutes 

The meeting minutes were reviewed and approved by Council members 

∙ Principal’s comments 

Francine will contact council members over the summer to remind them about the School  Committee meeting on July 20th. Those members who are available/interested in  attending are welcome. The Principals will be presenting on the SIP. 

Abir Zaneih expressed an interest regarding the EDI Officer interview process - Tom  passed this onto Joany. 

∙ Lawrence School Updates 

End of Year Activities – PTO Events 

Becca Gonzales told the Council that Perry’s ice cream truck will visit Lawrence school on June 15th during the Juneteeth celebration. 

Lawrence School is providing music and outdoor activities (ie: sidewalk chalk and crafts). 

PTO is purchasing summer reading books for all students again this year. 

The PTO has given Lawrence $350 toward an end of the year staff luncheon. The  staff will get a $5 gift card from either: Coffee Obsession, Cape Cod Coffee, and  either Ghelfes or Dairy Queen for staff appreciation.  

Summer School 

Summer school would start up again this year. 

School Council Comments 

2021-2022 nominations for council members are in place.
