Greetings from the Principal
The calendar has flipped to a new month once again and March promises to bring many great opportunities to be involved in our school community. This month presents us with one of the longest uninterrupted stretches of time during the calendar year, so it is always fun to look ahead to the many items that fill the calendar. One event, in particular, has become one of my favorite annual traditions.
On Friday, March 27, the PTO will hold the Book Swap during the school day. Check your email for information about how to donate books for this event. What makes this event great, in my mind, is its beautiful simplicity. Members of our school community donate used books, and children get to take one home, that they choose, for free!
I always love visiting the Book Swap to browse through the donated items and listen to students talking about them. Their excitement at discovering a new title never fails to bring a smile. I can also think of many occasions from the past where I saw a student take home exactly the kind of book they would love. A young man with a love of the sharks getting a beautiful anthology about ocean life immediately springs to mind.
Thank you for helping to support the Book Swap. Spreading the joy of books to all of our students is a tradition to be proud of at North Falmouth. Happy reading!
Thank you very much to our PTO and to all the families that helped with the Staff Appreciation Luncheons. They were fabulous!!!!

ARE YOU MOVING? Will you be leaving the North Falmouth School district at the end of this school year? Please inform the main office at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your help.
This is the time of year when our children are outside more. Please help them remember important safety rules such as:
- wear bike helmets
- ride with the traffic and walk toward the traffic
- stop to look both ways before crossing
- know your address and phone number
- discuss your family’s rules about strangers
- identify a family nearby that your children can go to in case of an emergency
This is a great opportunity to have important discussions with your child. We wish you and your children an enjoyable and safe Spring.
The Art Room needs help! Mrs. Sodaitis is getting ready for the Art Show. Please stop by and help mat some of the students’ art work. If you would like to help, please email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.
