Valentine’s Day and No Guff Week 2024

We are so excited this year that Valentine’s Day falls during No Guff week, a long standing tradition of FPS promoting love, kindness, and friendship. We are not canceling the traditional card exchange. As a district we are collaboratively working on implementing positive changes in our schools aimed at fostering an atmosphere of belonging for all students. No Guff Week is February 12th - 16th we will celebrate the theme of “One Positive Contribution; One Positive Community.” Over the week, students complete activities during the school day such as sending kindness letters/notes to peers, staff and the community. We are taking advantage of the overlap of celebrations to combine the traditional Valentine card exchange with Clipper Kindness Notes to provide opportunities for all to be included.

Martha’s Vineyard Banking Report:

Congratulations to our student bankers, they collectively saved just over $1000 this month!, they met their goal!!  They can bring in cash, checks, and coins, we are happy to help them count it up.

And congratulations to kindergartener Zoe L. for winning this month's raffle prize of a $20 gift card to Michaels.

We have 3 banking days in February (2/2, 2/9, 2/16) and will be raffling off colored pencils.

The national raffle for binoculars will be going on through Valentines Day, students who have made three deposits by then are automatically entered. 6 winners will be chosen nationally.

Have a great weekend!
