Mako Memo - May 20, 2022
May 20, 2022
On Tuesday, Mullen Hall welcomed incoming kindergarten Makos! They toured the building with the families and met staff. Fourth Grade students assisted with the tour. Thank you to our Ambassadors of Kindness!
The fourth grade concert was amazing! It was thoroughly enjoyed by students and families. Thank you Mrs. Jazo and fourth grade for a wonderful show!
Our third and fourth graders completed MCAS Math sessions this past week. We are always impressed with their effort and perseverance. Nice job, third and fourth graders! If your student missed any sessions, make-up dates were held Thursday and Friday and will continue into next week.
Thank you to all those who volunteered to coordinate an after-school activity this year. We finished our last cycle of classes this past week. The kids loved every minute! Be on the lookout for offerings in the Fall of 2022, and please contact Megan Miner if you have an idea for future offerings and would like to volunteer!

Leave a Legacy through Art!
Announcing Falmouth’s Juneteenth Poster Contest in which student artists have the opportunity to develop a 2022 Commemorative Poster.
Falmouth Public Schools, in collaboration with community partners, is hosting this contest for student artists across all grades to have their artwork recognized and displayed on a Commemorative Poster. We welcome all Clipper Student Artists to enter!
What is a commemorative poster?
A Commemorative Poster is a drawing, design, and/or inscription on an 8” x 11” document that would then be enlarged to be displayed on a 11” x 17” poster to commemorate this year’s event.
We invite students to create art that represents key moments in history or celebrates what Juneteenth means to them. Falmouth Public Schools, Falmouth’s No Place For Hate Steering Committee, Falmouth Art Center, and Falmouth Public Library have partnered to offer this Contest.
How do I participate?
- Review the Contest Entry Rules and complete a Contest Entry Form. Both are available here: Poster Contest Details and Directions.
- Design your own original poster.
- Submit your design and completed contest entry form to the Falmouth Public Schools Office of Teaching & Learning. Details are on the linked form in item 1 above. You can also call the team in the office with inquiries or for assistance. Their number is 508.548.0151, extension 130.
The deadline to submit artwork is Wednesday, June 1, 2022. The winning artwork will be showcased at Falmouth Art Center and the Falmouth Public Library.
We can’t wait to see our CLIPPERS’ artwork!
