DEC: Appropriate use of Federal Grant Funds
The Falmouth Public Schools is committed to using federal grants as a supplement in its budgeting of all instructional programs. Federal funds will be directed only to salaries, services, and materials that complement existing programs. They will not supplant the funding that exists in the operating budget.
The Superintendent of Schools shall have final responsibility in assuring that the district uses federal grant funds in a supplementary rather than supplanting manner. The Superintendent or designee shall review funding patterns and compare previous budgets to maintain compliance with this commitment.
All required statements of assurances shall be signed and placed on file with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
