Mrs. Freeman

I live in West Falmouth with my husband, Todd, our 16-year-old son, T.J., and our 14-year-old daughter, Ann-Marie. Our big, fluffy, dog, Max, completes our family. Our active family enjoys swimming, boating, kayaking, camping, and snowmobiling. We live on the beautiful Shining Sea Bike Path. You may see us walking our dog or biking. I love seeing my current and former students out there being active with their families. Be sure to say, "Hi" if you see us!

I have been an educator for over 20 years and bring a variety of experiences to my third grade classroom. I began my career in education working with deaf and hard-of-hearing students in grades preschool through eight in Middleboro, MA. After earning my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and English, I began working closer to home in Falmouth. For the past 18 years I have worked here in Falmouth. Starting in 1998, I taught 3rd grade at North Falmouth Elementary. After four years there, I transferred to Teaticket where I taught grades 3 and 4 for four years.

After earning my Masters degree as a Reading Specialist, I moved to Mullen-Hall where I worked with students and staff to help improve the teaching and learning of literacy skills. While I enjoyed the variety of my experiences outside the classroom, I missed having my own class. So, I transferred back to Teaticket where I taught 1st grade for four years! Now, I find myself back in 3rd where it all began and truly loving the experience.

This year, in an effort to improve teaching and learning, I plan to integrate more technology into our classroom by fostering a "flipped classroom". I hope you'll join me on this journey, and we can all learn something new!
