
The Falmouth School Committee approved a new Strategic Plan at their meeting on December 14, 2010.
The strategic planning process began in July 2010 when approximately 60 individuals, ranging from school committee members, parents, staff members, and community representatives, collaborated on developing a Strategic Plan to guide the Falmouth Public Schools through the next three and one half years. The group divided into subgroups to work on four priority areas based on the school district’s Mission, a review of accomplishments, and ongoing initiatives aligned to the current Strategic Plan: Assessment, Communication, Diversity and Innovation. After four months of meetings in subgroups to refine goals and objectives and solicit comments from the larger group at community meetings, the Strategic Plan was developed.
The final document represents a firm direction for the school district. I encourage you to read it:
