
School Psychologists
The staff of school psychologists in the Falmouth Public Schools are school-based and have a wide range of responsibilities within the schools. Some of those responsibilities include evaluating students and consulting with parents, teachers and other providers. Additionally, the school psychologists are active members of each school's crisis teams.

Certified School Psychologist & Teacher | Licensed Psychologist & Health Provider | Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Dr. Simpson has worked in schools, hospitals and mental health agencies. He is trained as a teacher, school psychologist, therapist and pediatric neuropsychologist. Dr. Simpson received his doctorate from James Madison University. He interned and completed postdoctoral training at UMN in Pediatric Neuropsychology. Dr. Simpson’s interests include underserved populations and the interface of school psychology with neuropsychology.
East Falmouth / Preschools - Chris Risko - crisko@falmouth.k12.ma.us
Nationally Certified School Psychologist
Mr. Risko graduated from UMASS Amherst. He interned in the Falmouth Public Schools and has a strong interest in assessment and in students with complex behavioral and social-emotional profiles. Mr. Risko's current focus is at the preschool and elementary school levels.
North Falmouth / Teaticket Schools - Tara Simpson - tsimpson@falmouth.k12.ma.us
School Psychologist
Dr. Simpson was a former intern in the district. Her interests include the implementation of response to intervention (RTI) in school districts. She also has another area of focus in supporting students with social skills deficits. Dr. Simpson received her Masters degree and Doctorate degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
Morse Pond School - Nicole Kennedy - nkennedy@falmouth.k12.ma.us
Nationally Certified School Psychologist
Mrs. Kennedy has experience working in public schools, residential programs and juvenile detention facilities. Mrs. Kennedy received her Master's degree (plus 30 hours) from Rochester Institute of Technology. Mrs. Kennedy's interests include helping students learn strategies to manage anxiety, helping families understand their child's special needs and teacher consultation/student support regarding challenging behaviors.
Lawrence School - Tyrone Gonsalves - tgonsalves@falmouth.k12.ma.us
Mr. Gonsalves graduated from UMASS Boston. He interned in Brookline and Falmouth Public Schools. Developing interests include working with students with ADHD, Mental Health in schools (Anxiety disorders), and teacher/parent consultation to meet individual student needs in the classroom.
Falmouth High School - Stephanie Norton - snorton@falmouth.k12.ma.us
Nationally Certified School Psychologist
Ms. Norton has worked in the public school setting. Ms. Norton received her masters degree from East Carolina University. Ms. Norton’s interest areas include all children with disabilities, with a focus on autism spectrum disorders.
The Falmouth Public Schools participates in an Internship/Practicum Program.
