Peer Application 2012-2013 (print, complete, and return to Laney Cooke-Johnson @ Administration Building)

Children ages 3 and 4 qualify for these programs if they have any impairment in communication, academics, gross motor, fine motor or behavior areas, are not making effective progress, and need specialized instruction. The programs offer a weekly 3 day, 4 day or 5 day session.

Each program is staffed by a certified early childhood special education teacher and at least one teacher assistant. There is a maximum of 15 students (7 with IEP’s and 8 peer partners) in each class. The speech/language pathologists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists work as a team within the pre-school classroom. They share their individual expertise and work cooperatively to meet the individual needs of each child. There is a fee for the peer partners to attend these programs.

LOTTERY SYSTEM:

If more applications are received than spots available a lottery will be held on February 16, 2012 at 4:00 pm at the Falmouth Public Schools Administration Building.  Everyone is welcome to attend, but parent attendance is not required.
