The Falmouth Public Schools is committed to an inclusive philosophy of education. It is our firm belief that students with disabilities should be educated, to the maximum extent possible, with their same age peers. The district does provide a continuum of services and special education programs. The Office of Pupil Personnel Services seeks to provide the necessary infrastructure to support all students’ learning. This infrastructure includes committed school based and district-wide leadership, appreciation of diverse cultures and learning styles, supportive school environments, knowledgeable support staff, and and engaging and relevant curriculum.

The Office of Pupil Personnel Services monitors the implementation of procedures to support “at risk” students and to identify students eligible for special education and/or related services. Our office also monitors the collaborative and private school placements of students with disabilities who are unable to be educated through general education or a special education program within the community.

The Director of Pupil Personnel Services works in collaboration with the Director of Curriculum & Instruction to ensure the Falmouth Public Schools implementation of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks is accessible to all students.
