The Falmouth High School athletics department makes a wide variety of opportunities available to develop athletic skills and to become involved as members of interscholastic athletic teams to students. We view interscholastic athletics as a unifying force within the school community, affecting not just those who take active part on teams but the entire student body. The central goal of the athletic program is to foster characteristics and qualities from our students including respect for self and others, honesty, integrity, commitment, reliability, common sense and perseverance.

On Friday, February 3, Falmouth High School sent student-athletes from multiple sports to the MIAA’s annual celebration of Massachusetts Girls and Women in Sports Day at Faneuil Hall to commemorate the 40 year anniversary of Title IX. Title IX was passed in 1972, creating equal opportunities for females in athletics. This landmark legislation has helped girls’ and women’s sports flourish since its installment. Last year’s MIAA female participation rate was the highest in state history. Congratualtions to Jenn Cardeiro, Tab Cardeiro, Elizabeth Knox, and Greer Gilbert for being selected to attend.
