This is a summary of the monthly common assessments and other standardized tests that should take place September through June.
The “growth model” is a method of measuring individual student progress on MCAS by tracking the scores of the same students from one year to the next. This guide explains how the growth model is established, answers common questions and provides links to additional resources.

Mass. Dept. of Elementary and Secondary Education - A direct link to the DOESE website. Use the drop down menu in the upper right corner of this site, Select Program Area, to access information on educator licensure, the MCAS tests, and many other useful pieces of information about Massachusetts schools and education.
Pearson SuccessNet - Teachers may access their Reading Street teacher's editions online, student leveled readers and other useful information. A login and password is required. Please see the technology assistant in your building if your account has not been set up.
SkillsTutor - An online software program that teachers can use to help students master essential skills in English and Math. You may obtain login and password information from the technology assistant in your building.
DiscoveryStreaming - Discovery Education Streaming integrates seamlessly into any curriculum with 9,000 full-length videos segmented into 71,000 content-specific clips tied directly to state and national standards. Please see your school library/media specialist or technology assistant to access this valuable resource.
